We’re getting closer. Now with the Golden Globe and SAG nominations out there, things are starting to clear up.

The only thing not really clear is “Star Wars” which we won’t know much about till midnight on the 16th. Still we are at a point where you can expect most of the nominees to look like what we have below.

This may be our second to last Golden Globe Predictions unless something significant happens.

The HFPA recently stated that both “The Martian” and “Joy” would be considered comedies. Other notable activities included rejecting Rooney Mara and Alicia Vikander’s placement as “Supporting Actresses.”

We have made all of these updates. We have also done the Television categories. You can keep watch here to see if anything changes between now and the week before the nominations are announced.

A lot of what happens in the pre-cursor awards will determine the outcome of the bigger ceremonies such as the Globes, SAG, Critics Choice, and the Oscars.

Before the end of the year we will have a couple of these. These predictions can be pretty bold cause many of these critics groups are fairly unpredictable.

We looked at the National Board of Review Award, the New York Film Critics Circle, the LA Film Critics Association, the Screen Actors Guild Nominees, and the Critics Choice Award Nominees.

These won’t be as detailed as our Globes or Oscar Predictions, but it’s still important to look at them anyway. (more…)

A lot of moves are being made now that the majority of films have been seen to some extent. We are now including the categories Original Song, Foreign Film, and Documentary Film as well.

Everything is up to date as of November 1st.
