Emmys: Updated Emmy Predictions

mad_men_final-season_teaser__trailerEmmys: Updated Emmy Predictions

The next big award show is the Primetime Emmys. It is still very early to predict these accurately, but we think we are narrowing in on many categories.

The final season of “Mad Men” should cause a stir, while new shows like “Better Call Saul” and “The Last Man on Earth” could potentially breakthrough. Not to mention the return of “Game of Thrones,” “Mad Men,” and “Modern Family.”

Awards: Final Emmy Predictions – 2013

iAwards: Final Emmy Predictions – 2013

Check our our Emmy Page for a ranking of likeliness in each category. The 65th annual Emmy Award Ceremony is tomorrow! So make your predictions now. I am expecting a lot of award-love specifically for “Breaking Bad.” True, the AMC drama will be battling Showtime’s “Homeland” for nearly every category; but considering “Breaking Bad” is currently on-air and generating a ton of buzz, I predict it’ll do very well.

On the Comedy spectrum “Modern Family” remains a strong contender, specifically for its all-star cast, but also watch out for Veep’s Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Tony Hale to take some of those acting awards away. Also “30 Rock” ended its run with a strong season so expect a possible upset by Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin.

IMDB

Early Word: The film hasn’t been seen, but it delivered a pretty juicy trailer last week. David O. Russell has scored plenty of Oscar nominations for his last two films “Silver Linings Playbook” and “The Fighter.” This film looks more tailored to the Academy offering up itself in the technical categories as well as the acting categories. Now to see if it’s supposed to be any good.
